•Der rechtsextreme Anschlag von Hanau und die behördlichen Versagen - Vortrag und Fragerunde mit der Bildungsinitiative Ferhat Unvar•

Am 19. Februar 2020 wurden in Hanau 9 Menschen aus rassistischem Motiv erschossen: Gökhan Gültekin, Sedat Gürbüz, Said Nesar Hashemi, Mercedes Kierpacz, Hamza Kurtović, Vili Viorel Păun, Fatih Saraçoğlu, Ferhat Unvar und Kaloyan Velkov. Diese Tat reiht sich in eine Chronologie rechter Gewalt und rechtem Terror ein. Die Bildungsinitiative Ferhat Unvar informiert über den rechtsextremen Anschlag, fragt uns was der Anschlag für gesellschaftliche Folgen hat und was das mit uns persönlich gemacht hat. Im Fokus des Workshops steht der kontinuierliche Widerstand von Betroffenen. Damit wollen wir nicht nur den Forderungen von Betroffenen Raum geben, sondern auch gemeinsam schauen, wie gesellschaftliche Teilhabe funktionieren kann. Im Anschluss daran bieten wir einen gemeinsamen Ausklang mit der Möglichkeit zum Austausch an.
Bildungsinitiative Ferhat Unvar:
An Ferhats Geburtstag, dem 14. November 2020, wurde die Bildungsinitiative Ferhat Unvar von seiner Mutter Serpil Temiz Unvar ins Leben gerufen. Frau Temiz Unvar möchte mit der Gründung der Bildungsinitiative allen Kindern, Jugendlichen, jungen Erwachsenen und deren Eltern, die rassistische Erfahrungen im Alltag oder in der Schule machen, eine Anlaufstelle bieten. Mit dieser Arbeit soll das Gedenken an ihren Sohn Ferhat Unvar aufrechterhalten werden. Die Bildungsinitiative wird von der Familie Unvar, Jugendlichen, engagierten Erwachsenen, sowie von Freund:innen getragen. Gemeinsam setzen sie sich aktiv gegen Alltags- und institutionellen Rassismus ein. Die Bildungsinitiative steht für einen Raum der Aufklärung, des Zusammenhalts, der Bildung und für ein friedliches Zusammenleben mit einer Vielfalt an Religionen, Kulturen und Nationalitäten.
Ausschlussklausel:
Die Veranstaltenden behalten sich vor, von ihrem Hausrecht Gebrauch zu machen und Personen, die rechtsextremen Parteien oder Organisationen angehören, der rechtsextremen Szene zuzuordnen sind oder bereits in der Vergangenheit durch rassistische, nationalistische, antisemitische oder sonstige menschenverachtende Äußerungen in Erscheinung getreten sind, den Zutritt zu Veranstaltungen zu verwehren oder von dieser auszuschließen.
Awareness:
Wir wollen, dass sich alle Menschen bei der Veranstaltung wohl und sicher fühlen. Deswegen wird die Veranstaltung von einem Awarenessteam begleitet, das bei Problemen ansprechbar ist, insbesondere bei grenzüberschreitendem und diskriminierendem Verhalten. Barrieren: Die Veranstaltung ist kostenfrei. Das Hansafloß ist über eine Rampe erreichbar. Die obere Etage ist nur über eine schmale Treppe mit ca. 12 Stufen erreichbar. Die Veranstaltung ist nicht in leichter Sprache. Es gibt keine Gebärdensprachdolmetscher*in.

On February 19, 2020, nine people were shot and killed in Hanau, Germany, due to racist motives: Gökhan Gültekin, Sedat Gürbüz, Said Nesar Hashemi, Mercedes Kierpacz, Hamza Kurtović, Vili Viorel Păun, Fatih Saraçoğlu, Ferhat Unvar and Kaloyan Velkov. This act is part of a chronology of right-wing violence and terrorism. The educational initiative Ferhat Unvar informs about this right-winged act of terror, asking what the attack's societal consequences are and how it has affected us personally. The focus of the workshop is on the continuous resistance of those affected. With this we do not only aim to give space to the demands of the affected individuals but also to collectively explore how societal participation can work. Afterwards, we're offering a space with the opportunity for discussion and exchange.
The Ferhat Unvar Educational Initiative:
On Ferhat's birthday, November 14, 2020, the Ferhat Unvar Educational Initiative was founded by his mother, Serpil Temiz Unvar. Mrs. Temiz Unvar aims to provide a resource for all children, teenagers, young adults, and their parents who experience racist encounters in their daily lives or at school. Through this work, the memory of her son, Ferhat Unvar, is to be upheld. The initiative is supported by the Unvar family, young people, dedicated adults, as well as friends. Together, they actively oppose everyday and institutional racism. The Ferhat Unvar Educational Initiative stands for a space of enlightenment, solidarity, education, and peaceful coexistence, embracing diversity in religions, cultures, and nationalities.
Exclusion Clause:
The organizers reserve the right to exercise their house authority and deny entry to or exclude individuals from events who belong to right-wing extremist parties or organizations, are associated with the right-wing extremist scene, or have previously appeared through racist, nationalist, antisemitic, or other hateful expressions.
Awareness:
We want all participants to feel comfortable and safe during the event. Therefore, the event will be accompanied by an awareness team that is approachable for addressing any issues, particularly concerning boundary-crossing and discriminatory behavior.
Barriers:
The event is free of charge. The Hansafloß is accessible via a ramp. The upper floor is only accessible via a narrow staircase with approximately 12 steps. The event materials are not available in easy language. There are no sign language interpreters available.
