Die a.cat und das a.cat-Kollektiv:
Wir sind das neue a.cat-Kollektiv in der Herwarthstr. 7. Dort betreiben wir einen Raum, in dem wir Kneipenabende, Café-Nachmittage und verschiedene Events veranstalten.
Unser Kollektiv hat sich ganz neu gegründet als feststand, dass die Leos Nachfolger*innen brauchten. Wir haben die Leo:16 vom Leo-Kollektiv Anfang Juli ganz offiziell übernommen und daraus nun die a.cat gemacht.
Wir betreiben diesen Raum ehrenamtlich und gemeinnützig. Die a.cat soll ein Schutzraum für marginialisierte Gruppen sein und einen niedrigschwellig zugänglichen Raum für Kunst, Kultur und Begegnung bieten, sowie für linke Vernetzung, Austausch und Organisierung.
2. Der Termin:
Wir möchten uns nun euch allen ganz offiziell vorstellen und allen aktiven Gruppen, sozialen Organisationen und Einrichtungen, die Möglichkeit geben, uns kennenzulernen. Sowie natürlich allen, denen dieser Ort wichtig ist. Wir freuen uns, wenn einzelne Vertreter*innen von Gruppen und Organisationen kommen.
Daher laden wir euch zu einem Kennenlerntreffen am 01.09. um 17 Uhr in die a.cat (Herwarthstraße 7) ein.
Das Treffen bietet die Möglichkeit für Vernetzung, Information darüber, wie der Raum von euch genutzt werden kann oder wie ihr mit uns zusammenarbeiten könnt.
3. Das Treffen soll wie folgt ablaufen:
Erster Teil: Kennenlernen des Kollektivs und des Ortes

Offene Fragerunde
Pause, Zeit bei einem Getränk ins Gespräch kommen
Menschen und Gruppen, die uns nicht nur kennenlernen, sondern sich aktiv einbringen möchten, können für den zweiten Teil des Abends bleiben.
Zweiter Teil: Wie kann ich die a.cat und das Kollektiv aktiv unterstützen?

Support in Form von Thekenschichten, Putzschichten, Awareness-Schichten

Erläuterung des Aufnahmeprozesses ins Kollektiv
Ihr könnt euch dann in jeweilige Mailinglisten (erst einmal unverbindlich) eintragen.
Nach dem Vorstellungsteil lassen wir den Abend mit euch ausklingen.
4. Barrieren:

keine barrierearme Toilette, aber es gibt welche im Hauptbahnhof um die Ecke, die mit einem Euro-Schlüssel nutzbar sind

Der Abend wird in Lautsprache stattfinden.

Voraussichtlich wird höherschwelligere Sprache verwendet werden.

Wir werden den Abend je nach Wunsch der Anwesenden auf Deutsch oder auf Englisch durchführen.

Hello dear friends, activists, comrades and organisations,
1. the a.cat and the a.cat collective:
We are the new a.cat collective at Herwarthstr. 7, where we run a space in which we organize bar evenings, café afternoons and various events.
We first set up our collective when it became clear that the Leos needed a successor. We officially took over Leo:16 from the Leo-collective at the beginning of July and have now turned it into a.cat.
We run this space on a voluntary and non-profit basis. The a.cat is intended to be a safe space for marginalized groups and offer a open-access space for art, culture and encounters, as well as for leftist networking, exchange and organizing.
2. the meeting:
We would now like to officially introduce ourselves to you all and give all active groups, social organisations and institutions the opportunity to get to know us. As well as, of course, all people who care about this place. It would be great if individual representatives of groups and organizations could join the meeting.
We are very happy to invite you to our introductory meeting on September 1st at 5 pm at a.cat (Herwarthstraße 7).
It will us all the opportunity for networking and information about how you can use the space yourselves or how you can work with us.
3. the meeting is going to work as follows:

You can then sign up for the respective mailing lists (without signing up for a commitment).
After the official introduction part is over, we will round off the evening with you in a relaxed bar evening.
4. accessibility:

No accessible toilets, but there are some around the corner in the main railway station that can be used with a Euro key
