Degrowth-Sommerschule: Visionen für die sozial-ökologische Transformation.
Die 4. Degrowth-Sommerschule ist in diesem Jahr vom 29.07. - 02.08. auf dem Klimacamp Leipziger Land zu Gast. Das Klimacamp findet zum ersten Mal in dem unmittelbar durch einen Braunkohletagebau bedrohten Dorf Pödelwitz statt. Während der Sommerschule wollen wir gemeinsam Wege und Visionen für eine Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft entwickeln, die ein gutes Leben für alle ermöglichen. Eine Gesellschaft in der Pödelwitz nicht für die Profite von Konzernen abgebaggert wird, sondern eine kostenfreie ÖPNV-Anbindung bekommt und wir solidarisch und globalgerecht zusammenleben.

Die Kurse der Sommerschule laufen über vier Tage mit einer festen Gruppe von etwa 20 Personen und bieten Raum für einen intensiven Austausch zu Themen wie Die ganze Arbeit - Wie wollen wir tätig sein?, Transformation als künstlerische Praxis oder Rojava is calling! - Gesellschaftlichen Wandel wagen. Für eine Teilnahme an den Kursen wird um eine Anmeldung gebeten. Darüber hinaus setzen spannend und divers besetzte Podium Impulse zu Diskussion über „Care Revolution und Degrowth“ oder „Gemeinsam Gesellschaft gerecht gestalten“.
Euch erwartet ein vielfältiges Kulturprogramm, gemeinsam gekochtes Essen und die inspirierende Atmosphäre eines selbstorganisierten Klimacamps. Ausführliche Informationen zur Anmeldung und zum Programm der Sommerschule gibt es online.

Degrowth Summer School: Visions for a social-ecological transformation.
The 4th Degrowth Summer School takes place from July 29 to August 2 at the Climate Camp Leipziger Land. For the first time, the climate camp will be in a village threatened through a coal mine: Pödelwitz. At the summer school, we want to develop visions and pathways for a society and economy which allows a good life for all. A society in which Pödelwitz is not destroyed for profits but gets a free connection to public transport and where we could live together in solidarity.

In each course of the summer school, around 20 participants exchange over four days on topics suche as Participatory Economics - introduction & discussion, Good flight for all? - Utopias for a sustainable global mobility, Degrowing Europe - Fostering justice in south-north relations?, and Post-development - Exploring existing visions from the Global South and alternatives to development cooperation.

Besides the courses, there will be panels around climate justice, coal, degrowth, transformation and care, as well as a cultural program with movies, music, theater and performances. Moreover, the organizing team has also prepared a program and day-care for kids. And, obviously, you‘ll get delicious collectively prepared food and enjoy the atmosphere of a self-organized camp.
